1. Project title: Design and manufacture of an automatic PET bottle supplying machine for water
bottling production lines.
2. Applying the knowledge acquired through education along with the insights gained through group
research and study, we have surveyed, researched, and constructed an automatic PET bottle
machine. Through the process of real-world observation and our own experiences in design and
machine processing, the automatic bottle machine facilitates easy bottle arrangement and achieves
high efficiency, making it user-friendly.

4. Final product:

Comments:
Overall, the bottle arranging machine, with an average of 20 bottles filled per minute,
equivalent to 1200 bottles per hour, gain 80% of the instructors specified bottle quantity.
However, in special cases where bottles get stuck, it may slow down the bottling process,
affecting the machines operation.
Our machine is designed specifically for the bottles found in the lab. However, with
some mechanical adjustments, bottles with equivalent shapes such as Aquafina, Lavie,
Number 1, can be used. Nevertheless, these bottles may get stuck at the neck because the
filling machine is designed to fit only the bottles found in the lab.
5.3 Evaluation
Advantages:
• The number of bottles entering the bottling machine is relatively stable and fast.
• The system is simple and easy to use.
Disadvantages
• The bottle storage capacity is small compared to actual needs.
• Each component of the machine is not tightly connected.
• Bottle jamming issues still exist.
5.4 Development
After experiments, mechanical issues and solutions have been clarified. However,
to ensure smooth operation and achieve the set goals, we will replace the DC motors by
DC servos to facilitate adjusting the machines performance with encoder.
